I am the weekend morning producer at WXII 12 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
My passion is storytelling—whether through videography, photography, editing or writing. Ultimately, I hope to work as a special projects producer or documentarian, creating compelling, in-depth stories that leave a lasting impact.

PRODUCING REEL
As a producer, my goal is to create informative and engaging newscasts that keep viewers connected to their communities. My experience in the newsroom has strengthened my ability to make thoughtful editorial decisions, adapt to developing stories and build newscasts that serve the audience. I’m continuing to grow as a producer and storyteller with every show I create.
WXII 12: Covering Severe Flash Flooding in Surry & Patrick Counties
August 2, 2026
Heavy rain and severe storms brought dangerous flash flooding to parts of Surry County, North Carolina, and Patrick County, Virginia. I focused on showcasing viewer-submitted content from the ground while giving our meteorologist time to explain what to expect in the hours ahead.
Special Projects
Painting for Sanity: Where Art Meets Mental Health
In May 2026, I filmed and wrote a package about Kenrick Jobe, an artist based in Lexington, North Carolina. Over the summer, Jobe became well-known for his street painting. I spent a day with him to learn more about his “Painting for Sanity” series and why he believes art can have a positive influence on mental health.
Charity Adams: An American Hero with SC Roots
In February 2025, I produced a long-form story highlighting Charity Adams, the first Black female officer in the Women’s Army Corps. Adams led the 6888th Central Postal Battalion, the only all-Black, all-female unit to serve overseas during World War II. The story aired as part of WLTX’s Black History Month Special.
Fit Check: A Fashion Show Documentary
In May 2024, I created a 16-minute documentary, The History and Impact of the AAAS Fashion Show at the University of South Carolina, as my South Carolina Honors College senior thesis. The film traces the history of USC’s Association of African American Students Annual Fashion Show from its founding in 1970 through 2024, exploring the show’s significance to Black students across generations.
I filmed, produced, wrote and edited the documentary, overseeing every aspect of the project from start to finish.
Podcast
As a graduate student, I served as editor-in-chief for a four-episode podcast produced collaboratively by my class. The podcast examined allegations involving a former sheriff’s deputy who engaged in inappropriate sexual relationships with multiple high school girls while working as a school resource officer.
My responsibilities included serving as the final audio editor, establishing deadlines, managing the workflow of more than 15 students and assisting my professor with editorial decisions.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Photojournalism
I also have a passion for photography—there’s something truly amazing about capturing a moment in time. Below are photos I took for a photojournalism class. The first set features images from the Carolina Cup, an annual steeplechase in Camden, South Carolina. These photos have received multiple honors, including Best Photo Story from the South Carolina Press Association and a Silver Award for Photo Essay from the AEJMC Festival of Visual & Interactive Media Contest. Following those are photos I captured during South Carolina’s First in the Nation Democratic Primary celebration event.
